Timetable

NOW to June 8th - Children collect pledges
Tell grandma & grandpa, friends, and neighbors about your reading program, and ask them to pledge a dollar amount to reward your reading. All children are asked to read (or be read to) for a minimum of 400 minutes over eight weeks. Print sponsor sheet.

Jun. 9th - Aug. 9th - Read all you like. Remember to color in a star for every 20 minutes you read. Print reading log

August 10th - Mail in your reading logs, pledge money and choose books by browsing www.ubah.com/S2920 . Participating children choose reward books at the end of the program equal to the pledge money they collect. Usborne Books will match this at 25% of free, brand new books for refugee children.

August 22 - Reading celebration! Participating children are invited to a celebration where they will enjoy ice cream and receive their books and recognition. Attending the celebration is not required for participation in the program.

EXAMPLE: A child that collects $40 in pledges selects $40 in books for themselves AND $10 in books to be donated to the less fortunate children in the community.

It really is a win-win-win situation. Our children read, they get rewarded with books AND they learn how to help others.
